WHY THIS THEME
WHY THIS THEME

We chose this retro adventure theme because we think that having ADHD is like an adventure. A self-paced journey where you will encounter difficult obstacles in the different levels of your life. You can get stuck on a level for a long period of time but it's not forever. As humans, we are resilient and try to overcome the adversity. Like levels in a game, there are times where your first try didn't go as far. However, your first attempt should not hinder you from trying again to complete the challenge. Instead, it should help you learn from your mistakes and use that knowledge to your advantage so that you can successfully accomplish the level. It doesn't matter how many tries you take. The most important thing is that you grow and learn from facing those struggles and "level up" as a person.

Why Go Retro?

Why ADHD
WHY ADHD

We acknowledge that there is a lot of mystery surrounding the ADHD lifestyle and diagnosis. We wanted to shine a spotlight to our audience about the misconceptions and stigma circling ADHD. We also wanted to spread resources to our community so that they are fully equipped and informed about the many aspects of ADHD. In the Inland Empire specifically, there are many people who don't have easy access to healthcare and this hinders their quality of life and leaves them with untreated diseases.

About Our Research

Our goal with this presentation is to allow members of our community to better understand what ADHD is, and help them navigate the associated issues to hopefully overcome said hurdles. We encourage members of our community who have or know a loved one that has ADHD, who suspect they may have ADHD, or anyone that is interested in learning more about ADHD to join us in our presentation. There will be discussions about potential stigmas and about difficulties regarding patients getting treatment. Our goal is to allow members of our community to be able to live not just physically, but emotionally healthy lives.
